How to read this

Weight is the body with battery and card (CIPA) unless marked *, which means body only or the maker doesn't say. Volume is the width × height × depth box from the maker's published body dimensions, without lens.

Dials count only dedicated dials with printed values: a P/A/S/M mode dial or lever, a numbered shutter-speed dial, a numbered ISO dial (including ISO windows built into the shutter dial, as on the X-Pro2/3 and Epson R-D1), and a numbered exposure-compensation dial. Unmarked command dials don't count.

Style: SLR means a central viewfinder hump; rangefinder means a flat top, with the finder at the corner or no finder at all. Weather sealed means the maker claims dust/splash resistance. PDAF includes hybrid phase + contrast systems; MF bodies have no autofocus.

Prices are in US dollars for the body alone. Launch price is the US list price at announcement; “kit” means it was only sold with a lens, and cameras not sold in the US are converted (see Details). Used price is a typical range for good-to-excellent bodies from MPB, KEH and eBay listings in September 2026. Many are asking prices, so private sales can be lower. The used-price filter matches cameras whose range starts at or below your limit.

Viewfinder dioptre: “Built-in adjustment” has a dioptre wheel or lever on the camera's own finder; “Correction lenses only” has a finder that needs screw-in correction lenses (all Leica M rangefinders, Epson, X-Pro1); “No built-in viewfinder” covers LCD-only bodies and those with clip-on finders. Finish covers standard production colours, not limited editions.
